Pre-Licensing Courses

In order to get your Real Estate License, all you need is 45 hours of each: Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice and a required elective of your choice.

Real Estate Principles
This course will explain the basic terminology of real estate. Real Estate Principles lays the foundation of all real estate subjects and is the main course required to be eligible for a State Exam testing date. While the principles language can at first seem complicated, as you progress though the course you will find that the text makes it easier to understand.

Live Instruction Principles Class
We meet every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 6pm - 10:15pm for a total of over 45 hours of the required time. There are a total of 11 classes which you can complete in as little as 3 1/2 weeks. Each class covers 1-2 chapters of the book and taught by topic. We suggest to read the assigned chapters prior to attending class. The classes are continuous and revolving, so there is no real beginning or end; meaning you can start whenever you are ready. Once you have completed this course, you will take the Principles exam, held here at the office. You may start at any time!

Enrolling for the live instruction classes must be done in person at the office only. For more information on our live instruction course, please contact us at (661) 334-4000 or tishana@americawestschool.com.
